Although it is a great ground cover or an outdoor plant,  philodendron Burle Marx is also grown in pots as a houseplant.

It is a climbing plant and can be pointed to grow in different directions – however, you like it.

It has beautiful, exotic, and jungle-like foliage and the leaves are dark green in color.

It is a fast-growing plant and will spread very quickly if provided with the right conditions.

Pro-Tip: For an additional aesthetic moment, you can plant your philodendron Burle Marx in a hanging basket and just direct the stems however you like.

    • Sunlight Requirements

Philodendron Burle Marx likes bright places, but it doesn’t like direct sunlight.

It is best to place it near a window with bright-colored curtains where the light will be bright but defused.

This way, you’ll provide it with filtered light and it will get all it needs.

It is, however, tolerant of low-light conditions, which makes it one of the perfect office plants.

    A north-facing window is a great solution.

Pro-Tip: Make sure your philodendron Burle Marx isn’t getting in touch with direct sunlight.

Too much sunlight can cause leaf burn.

It causes decoloration of the leaves, as well.

    • Temperature Requirements

Philodendron Burle Marx likes moderate room temperatures, from 60 to 75 degrees F.

Still, they tolerate lower temperature conditions than most of the other houseplants.

In any case, avoid frost and temperatures below 50 degrees F.

    • Watering Requirements

Burle Marx doesn’t like much watering, so beware of overwatering and its dangers.

Still, the soil should be constantly moist in the growing period (spring and summer).

During the cold months, however, you should let the upper soil layers get completely dry before watering your plant again.

Watering once a week will be enough.

You can enhance it during the hot months.

Also, make sure you don’t overwater your philodendron Burle Marx!

I can cause changes in leaves’ color and root rot in the final stage.

If you notice that you have been overwatering your plant, carefully take it out of the pot and see how damaged the roots are.

If only a part is in danger, carefully prune them using a sterilized sharp tool.

Still, if all the roots are ‘in trouble, there isn’t much you can do.

    •  Fertilizer Requirements

The Philodendron does well with a well-balanced fertilizer. Apply a water-soluble fertilizer once every month or couple of months.
